Kerubi is in Ilosaari, a beautiful island in the middle of the river Pielinen. Just take the Itäsilta bridge right next to the city center. It’s easy to reach Kerubi by walking, by bike or by car by taking Itäsilta or Länsisilta bridges. Kerubi’s adress is Siltakatu 1. The building is also known as Karjalantalo.
Kerubi’s main entrance is by the parking area of Ilosaari. The building is over 65 years old and the different spaces and venues are divided into several floors. Wheelchair access is either through the main entrance using ramps (our security and staff are happy to help with access!) or from the side of the house through the Kellari entrance and using the staff elevator. The stairs inside the building also have ramps. Personal assistants to the disabled get free access to our events and you can show up without informing us in advance.
The parking spaces in Ilosaari are paid parking and a part of the city of Joensuu’s parking toll system and surveillance.
